CMS Gives Hospitals Another Month To Show Meaningful Use For 2014

CMS is giving hospitals an extra month to show meaningful use of electronic health records in 2014, pushing back the deadline for attesting to the so-called meaningful use program from Nov. 30 to Dec. 31, the agency announced Monday (Nov. 24). “This extension will allow more time for hospitals to submit their meaningful use data and receive an incentive payment for the 2014 program year, as well as avoid the 2016 Medicare payment adjustment,” CMS says in an email.
