CBO's 2014 Options For Curbing Medicare Spending Unchanged From 2013

The Congressional Budget Office released its annual options for reducing the deficit, and the options for curbing Medicare spending are the same as those on CBO's 2013 list. The options include: Increase the payroll tax rate for Medicare hospital insurance by 1 percentage point. Change cost-sharing rules for Medicare and restrict Medigap insurance.
